Convio 3.8 Includes New Advocacy and Volunteer Fundraising Features, Plus Support for Canadian Nonprofits

Convio's latest product release, Convio 3.8, now makes it even easier for nonprofits to create and manage online advocacy, fundraising, email marketing and volunteer fundraising programs. New features provide improved benefits that help nonprofits achieve high-impact, measurable results online. It also includes online fundraising support for Canadian nonprofits.

Advocacy
Convio 3.8 includes sophisticated advocacy targeting and delivery technologies currently unmatched in the industry. These features ensure that organizations and their activists deliver timely messages to the correct targets. The new capabilities include:

• Advanced district mapping and redistricting that ensures advocates locate the correct legislators and accurately target their messages
  
  
• Search capabilities for federal cabinet members, congressional and state committee members and political party affiliation of all legislators -- an important supplement to the federal and state legislator information that always has been core to Convio's advocacy databases
  
  
• Increased support for complex congressional Web forms to ensure advocates' messages get through to decision makers

Volunteer Fundraising
To make it easier for volunteers to manage online campaigns and to help drive greater fundraising success, Convio has enhanced its event registration and donation processes:

• Volunteer fundraisers and their supporters now can set up ongoing, or sustainer giving, programs to spread payments over time, as needed, yet the total amount still counts toward the fundraiser's overall goal for a specific event.
  
  
• Although event administrators used to rely on volunteers to register online, now administrators can perform online registration tasks, including processing credit cards, for volunteers. This enables volunteers to register over the phone or at sign-up events -- at times when they do not have immediate access to the Internet -- and then use online volunteer fundraising tools when they are back in front of their computers.

Support for Canadian Nonprofits
Convio's sector-leading online fundraising software now supports nonprofits and donors in Canada by providing automated gift receipts in PDF format. Nonprofits in Canada are required to provide this type of gift receipt to donors.
