Convio Wins Spot on Prestigious Red Herring List of 100 Top Private Companies

According to Red Herring, the Mountain View, Calif. media company that covers innovation, technology, financing and entrepreneurial activity, this is "the industry's definitive list of private technology companies impacting the marketplace, revealing where new fortunes are likely to be made."  Companies previously chosen for the list include Cisco Systems, Bay, Siebel Systems, Google, Salesforce.com, Plumtree Software and Seagate Technology.

Convio and the other winners will be honored at the Red Herring Spring conference, May 18-20, in Monterey, Calif.  More than 600 companies from 10-plus countries in Asia, Europe and North America applied for the 100 Top Private Companies list. Judges evaluated financial data as well as subjective criteria, including quality of management, execution of strategy, and dedication to research and development to choose the winners.
